How Loopyty works

A real shop pays rent

So does your toy store. Then it earns the money back, just like the real thing.

Why do we start at five?

Because one child soon wants three: one all their own, one with their best friend and one with the class to save up for the class trip. Their own can sell a bit of everything, or just what the child loves most, like LEGO, dolls or action figures. Two children? Then five deeds soon gets tight, and eight fits better. Three or more? Look at twelve.

Selling toys without a store, as on an ordinary marketplace, is always free on Loopyty. But much more boring, and the children do not get their own login.

The children run the store, you hold the key

The account is yours. The children get their own login under it, with their own code. No email, no password.

When the store and the savings goal are theirs, the children have a reason to pass on the toys they have grown out of. They list the toys themselves. You keep an eye on it from Homebase and check what needs sending. And a bonus – they have to keep their toys in order at home.

The money for everything sold goes to the payout account you have set up. The children cannot get into it, or into the settings. What the money becomes, you decide together.

Made for busy parents with enough on their plate already.

One deed, one store

Every toy store has its own deed. When your child opens the doors, their name is stamped on the deed, and the store is the child's own.

When several people run a store together, each subscription puts in one of its deeds. All the names are on the deed, and the store counts as one deed in each family. Brothers and sisters in the same store share the family's deed.

Everyone is an owner. Nobody is a guest.

Rent first, then profit

A shelf in a second-hand shop costs around 240 kr. Every week. And the shop takes a fifth of everything you sell.

On Loopyty, five stores cost 249 kr. For a whole year. That is about the same as one week of one shelf.

And we take nothing from the sale. Sell a toy for 100 kr and your family gets 100 kr. The buyer pays a service fee on top: 13% of the price, and at least 20 kr.

Class, team or neighbourhood

The whole class, team or neighbourhood can run one store together and raise money for something shared, as a fundraiser: the class trip, new kits or the summer party. Better than selling toilet paper, and the toys get new children to play with.

Whoever starts the store uses one of their deeds. If your child only wants to be in the group's store, a group spot (coming soon) is all you need.

The money for each toy goes to the family that listed it. Then each family passes the money on to the shared purpose, for example by Vipps to the class fund. And because the money goes to whoever sold the toy, the children in the store can buy toys from each other too.

What the rent pays for

The children's own login, their own stores, deeds and badges.

Our promise

No advertising. Ever. We show the children no ads, and we sell no data about your family. The rent is what lets us keep it that way.

A holiday, or closing down?

Going on holiday? Close the doors and pause the toys, so nobody buys anything while you are away. Open again when you are home, and everything is as it was.

Want to close the stores down? That is fine. The stores disappear, but the toys stay safe in your inventory and on your seller profile. Then you sell as on an ordinary marketplace again, without the store and the fuss.
